There is a line to a song that says, “It’s just about the time

Spent together…” Many people feel that some grandiose gesture is needed on February 14 to express your love for another. The truth is, as the song says, “It’s just about the time spent together”. Many couples have spent more than the usual amount of time together over the past year.  The desire to do something out of the ordinary maybe even more appealing this year than most.

With those thoughts in mind, here are  10 ways to show your love this Valentine’s. Day.

1. Plan a Movie Marathon

For some quality relaxation time with your significant other, get cozy on the couch and binge-watch all your favorite romantic comedies. It’s the perfect way to get in the mood for some Valentine’s romance!

2. Listen to Music Together

As we all saw in one of the most romantic movies ever — La La Land — there’s nothing that can bring two people together like music. If you feel like going all out, you can even try recreating a jazz club date at home: Just dress to the nines, grab a drink, and put on some tunes!

3. Set up a brunch bar.

If brunch is one of your favorite meals.  Set up a waffle bar.  All you need is a waffle mix, a waffle iron, and then all the toppings you two enjoy.

4. Scrapbook your relationship

Make a scrapbook of your relationship.  Even if you are not the crafty type this can be fun.  Looking over photos, ticket stubs, and other items from your relationship is something that you can both treasure.  The bonus is that you have a beautiful book of memories to cherish.

5. Bake something together.

Working together in the kitchen is a way to spend time together, and if you bake something sweet, you can reward yourselves.

6. Breakfast in bed.

Mornings can be hectic.  Slow down and enjoy a leisurely breakfast in bed for a change.

7. Go for a drive.

Who needs a destination?  Fill up the car with gas or charge up your EV, get out of your comfort zone, and drive to someplace new—no need to even get out of the vehicle.  The time together is essential, not the destination.

8. Create a wine and chocolate tasting.

Create unique wine and chocolate pairings or follow an online guide.  : While wine and chocolate are enjoyable separately, together, they are delicious.

9. Go for a hike

Have a favorite spot?  Want to explore a new trail.  Going for a hike is fun if the company is good.

10. Take an online class

Learn how to craft cocktails, cook exotic foods, or learn more about a favorite pastime.  Sharing a class of mutual interest will be long remembered.
